Hello from the GenACNH Operations Team!

We hope this bulletin finds you enjoying your time on your island getaways! We're here to keep you up-to-date on the latest Nintendo Switch system update, Ver. 23.0.0, which was released on September 9, 2026.

What's New in Firmware Ver. 23.0.0?

In simple terms, this update adds some handy features to your Virtual Game Cards. You can now access "Settings" directly from the HOME Menu, making it easier to manage which systems can use your virtual game cards. There's also a new prompt that lets you start a game using an online license if the virtual game card is in use on another console. This online license is only available to the user who purchased the software. Additionally, Nintendo has made some general system stability improvements to make your gaming experience even smoother.

Important Guidance for Treasure Island Hosts & SysBot Operators

If you're running a custom firmware Nintendo Switch, please do not auto-update until you've installed the latest Atmosphère and fusee payload files on your SD card. Atmosphère 1.12.0, released on September 27, 2026, fully supports firmware Ver. 23.0.0, so make sure to update your custom firmware safely.

Reassurance for GenACNH Users

Don't worry, all our cloud delivery bots, item spawners, and Dodo flight lines are locked on stable firmware and are 100% operational. You can continue to enjoy your island adventures without any interruptions.

Updating Safely for Stock Switch Players

If you're playing on a regular, non-custom firmware Switch, you can update to the latest firmware from your System Settings. Just head to System Settings, then System, and finally, System Update to get the latest version.
